South Korea’s humanoid robot, dubbed “DRC-Hubo”, has won the 2015 DARPA Robotics Challenge held in Pomona, California.
At the competition held over the weekend under the auspices of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the U.S. Department of Defense, DRC-Hubo created by the team from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) beat a U.S. team to win the 2 million-dollar prize money.
Hubo completed a set of tasks in 44 minutes and 28 seconds, the shortest to win the title of the disaster-response robotic challenge attended by 24 teams from six countries
