Machine Learning #73 BIRCH Algorithm | Clustering

Machine Learning #73 BIRCH Algorithm | Clustering
In this lecture of machine learning we are going to see BIRCH algorithm for clustering with example. BIRCH algorithm (balanced iterative reducing and clustering using hierarchies) is an unsupervised data mining algorithm which is used to perform hierarchical clustering over particularly large data-sets.The advantage of using BIRCH algorithm is its ability to incrementally & dynamically cluster incoming, multi-dimensional metric data points in an attempt to produce the best quality clustering for a given set of resources (memory and time constraints). single scan of the database is needed by BIRCH algorithm in most of the cases.
