Heh. Apparently intelligence agencies are encountering the problem of dozens of Trump sex tapes that have been produced by rival countries, some of which have enough state funding behind them that they used some of these advanced techniques. It making validation increasingly difficult.

This is also an area where machine learning is pretty helpless to do anything about since, even if it produces the right answer, the flaw with the techniques is that they are opaque and thus can not explain why something is real or fake, so using them on real data is difficult to verify.

As long as humans are the ones making stuff, some of us will always use that power for malice. But! On the flipside, they do make it so we have to keep moving forward to outsmart them! I can see the pulse catching technology being outsmarted by an AI learning to simulate that too. And then that being outsmarted by an even smarter bot that drives the industry forward even further. But those are just my thoughts.
